Yorkshire Gold Tea A Great Morning Drink

If you are a tea lover, and the first thing you like to do each morning is have a cup of tea, you may want to try the Yorkshire Gold Tea. This particular tea is a blend of several different teas that are grown in parts of Africa and India.  Especially formulated to be a great, full bodied tea, it is definitely a great choice for that early morning pick-me-up cup of tea.

The tea itself is a rich light brown color and the flavor, is a full bodied slightly malty flavor that lends itself well to having milk and a little sugar added, unlike the softer and more subtle Chinese teas that should be had without any additives. In fact, it is made specifically with the idea of adding a little milk to it.  If you want to drink the tea without milk you may want to make it just a little weaker than the directions explain. However, even if made to full strength, the tea does not have a bitter taste at all, unless it is left to steep for longer than the recommended two to three minutes.

This premium quality tea is available in both tea bags and as loose leaf tea. It can be bought in most supermarkets in the UK and for overseas tea lovers it is also available online through tea shops or it can be found for sale on Amazon, where you are able to subscribe so that it is sent to you on a regular basis.

To properly brew the tea you should always use freshly boiled water. Water that is left to sit and then boiled again loses it oxygenation and thus makes the tea taste rather flat.  For a cup or mug of tea you will just need one teabag. Place it in the cup first and then pour boiling water over it. Let it sit for a couple of minutes.  If you are using teabags to make a pot of tea, it is recommended that you place in two tea bags for every four cups of tea; or one tea bag for two cups.  Allow it to steep for two to three minutes.

If lose leaf tea is your preference, follow the age old adage of one teaspoon of tea per cup and one “for the pot”.  Thus, if you were making tea for two, you would place three teaspoons of loose tea into the teapot and then pour the boiling water over it. Again, let it sit for two to three minutes.

If you have never tried this type of tea, and you are a tea lover, it is well worth tasting. Many people say that once they have tried it they will not go back to drinking other types of tea—it must be good!
