Where To Place Wedding Balloon Centerpieces

Just because wedding balloon centerpieces are placed on tables does not mean every table needs to have one.  Tasteful placement of balloons is a key to having a well-decorated wedding reception.  Follow these simple steps to placing centerpieces appropriately.

First, consider table conversation.  Your guests are there to celebrate you, but they are not all going to be able to talk with you at the same time.  Your centerpiece should allow people to converse during the reception, not get in the way.  Therefore, if you have elaborate centerpieces, only use them on a few tables and leave clear lines of sight.

On the head table where the groom and bride will be seated is a good place for an elaborate centerpiece.  These tables are usually arranged so those seated are all facing one direction, towards the rest of the party.  Therefore, elaborate centerpieces can be used, so long as they do not block anyone’s view of the rest of the room.

If you have a buffet or dessert table, use centerpieces in between every couple of dishes.  This will add color and flash to the food tables as they are devoured, and they give people something to admire as they wait for the line to move further along.

If you are planning on having tables for the kids to sit at, elaborate balloon centerpieces will probably be a bad idea.  They will only give the children something to play with and pop during the reception.  They may not appreciate the time, effort, and money that went into designing and creating these beautiful centerpieces.

Another table you can use a beautiful balloon centerpiece on is the guestbook table.  This table serves no other purpose than to greet guests, so it makes sense that you should make it as beautiful as possible.  In fact, because this table serves only one purpose and is out of the way of the rest of the reception, this centerpiece can be one of the most elaborate in your entire reception.

So when deciding how many wedding table centerpieces to order, keep in mind that, while beautiful, elaborate centerpieces can also get in the way of having a good time.  Use them sparingly, and only where they won’t restrict views or get in the way of conversation.  Used appropriately, they can tie a reception together in beautiful fashion.
