The Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe that Combines Orange with Chocolate

No Comments

If you are looking to add a fruity flavor into your cookies, this is the right recipe for you. This chocolate chip cookie recipe adds an unique orange flavor to the traditional chocolate chip cookies, giving people a break from the classic cookie taste. You can certainly try out other fruit flavors if you wish.

Ingredients:

* 2 cups of all purpose flour
* 1 tbsp of baking powder
* 1/2 tsp of salt
* 3/4 cup of unsalted butter
* 1/2 cup of white sugar
* 1 cup of brown sugar
* 1 tbsp of orange zest
* 1 tsp of vanilla extract
* 2 eggs
* 1 1/2 cups of semi sweet chocolate chips
* 1 1/2 cups of chopped pecans

Steps:

For this chocolate chip cookie recipe, we need to prepare the cookie batter. We will need to prepare the flour mixture. In a medium bowl, sift the flour, baking powder and salt and mix them together. Put aside the flour mixture so that they can be used later.

For the batter, prepare another large mixing bowl and add in the butter, white sugar, brown sugar, orange zest and vanilla extract. Beat all these four ingredients until they are creamy and soft. Now, add in the first egg and beat the batter well before adding in the second egg. After both eggs are beaten into the batter, you can then gradually add in the flour mixture. Beat the flour mixture well with the batter. After the flour, the next ingredient is the chocolate chip. Stir in all the chocolate chips into the batter evenly.

We can now continue to bake the cookies. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease two cookie sheets. You can use a teaspoon to scoop the cookie batter and drop them onto the cookie sheets. Make sure they are spaced two inches apart. Next, bake them for 15 minutes until they are golden brown with their edges slightly toasted. Let the cookies cool on the cookie sheets for two minutes before transferring them to the wire racks for further cooling.
