The kind of job you have determines whether a neck lanyard is right for you. Certainly some jobs require neck lanyards and are benefited by them, while some are not. For instance those of you who work in maintenance and have many rooms and closets that need to be locked and unlocked during the day, you will benefit by having a neck lanyard from which all of the various keys can be attached. This is a secure and practical way to keep track of things for any maintenance worker.
If your job is in an office in a large secure building or in a hospital, the neck lanyard is an excellent way to carry an identification badge. On a neck lanyard, the badge is always visible to other staff, as well as to clients or patients, without putting holes in clothes or ruining them in any other way. Lanyards can come in many colors and styles and so such places as these often choose lanyards that come in company colors with company logos imprinted on them to promote the company.
If you work at a school either as an employee or as a student you will also find the neck lanyard a required part of your daily dress as you again display your identification badge. An additional way to use the neck lanyard at school is not necessarily around your neck. However all throughout the halls you can see students with custom lanyards sticking out of their pockets. Attached to them are their keys. The neck lanyard in this situation is still great in helping the student keep track of his or her keys.
There are some jobs, however, in which a neck lanyard is less than ideal. For instance if you have a job in which most of your work is done outside in which you are using a lot of tools or machinery, a neck lanyard would be a great safety hazard and would not be appropriate. If you are an executive in a firm, or a professional job, such as a lawyer, a neck lanyard would again be inappropriate as it would mar the image of professionalism.
However, if you have a business at home a lanyard could be an excellent way to keep track of many things you might need such as keys, cell phones, reading glasses. Neck lanyards can be a great asset to many of us in many kinds of jobs.
