Army Legos: A Great Alternative To Traditional Army Toys

Little boys and sometimes little girls, too, often love to play with army toys. Typically, this includes the little green army men and the associated weaponry that can be purchased from almost any toy store. These are usually small, about two inches or so in height and can be a bit sharp around the edges.  They can also be choking hazards for smaller children.  A safer alternative to such toys are army Legos.  There are some important reasons why these toys should be considered over the traditional style, too.

For one thing, these toys are larger than the 2” style, normally standing at about 3”. Secondly, they do not have any rough edges. They have standard Lego fittings so mix well with bricks already owned and are normally sold as part of a larger set of Lego toys, although they can also be purchased separately. There are currently a few different sets available on the market:

  1. Toy Story Army Men On Patrol action figures (from the Disney movie) – the most realistic to our current military personnel
  2. Star wars action figures
  3. Vikings
  4. Skeletal army figures.

The price ranges for these averagesup to about fifteen USD, however it varies between what is actually offered in the kit, since some of them contain more action figures than others, while others offer more ammunition and the like.

Getting back to the army Legos toys themselves, however, there are other pluses to them. First of all, they are pleasant looking. Their faces are smiling, since they were created as toys. This might encourage little boys and girls to really “play” at fighting, rather than to role play in a more violent and negative manner.  As for a choking hazard, none have been reported to have happened, thus far. This makes for not only a safe product, but one that mostly has true “playing” in mind.
